The EU have requested data on the impact of WEEE and RoHS on the electronics industry..............
Go to the Home page of RoHSUSA.com and click on the banner for details of the questionaires.
My personal view (on the lead in solders ban)is that it might have been diligent to assess the financial and environmental impact of such a far reaching legislation BEFORE inflicting it on the planet.
As one of the guys on Technet commented on the subject of filling out the questionnaire:
"There is another good old Iowa expression that says "Never mud-wrestle a pig. You just get dirty and the pig likes it".
The point being is that the effort may only be worthwhile if anyone thinks there is a snow-balls chance in hell that the EU or China politicians will admit to being wrong. I can't see it happening."
He may be right, we have seen an awful lot of stalling on some of the lead in solder exemption requests. My view is that unless we DO send in such data, like voting - you will not be heard.
The decks may indeed be loaded but the game is still on....
Fill it in ...............
